Sculptures
When Dollores' children were in grade school she served as a Docent at the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. There she learned to respect the beautiful animals of our earth, and regretted how near to extinction many of them are.
When Dollores Shelledy started her sculpture career she decided that the animas would be her subjects. Her thoughts were how neat it would be for the children to be able to touch and climb on the wild animals, even if they were made of bronze. She has have been well rewarded over the years with pictures and testimonies of the children enjoying climbing on her animals.
